COVID-19 “Stay Home, Save Lives” Operations
Security and Access to Facilities
This plan provides security and access to WP facilities during the “Stay Home, Save Lives” operations period.
Campus Safety has a list of Key Employees who are authorized to access facilities. Their existing credentials (ID cards, Keys) will grant them access to assigned location. Contractors, such as Sedexo and JaniKing, are also authorized to access and operate during this operational period. If non-Key Employees need to access WP facilities on any campus while this plan is in effect, they need to contact their VP and campus safety prior to entering campus facility. In the event that a non-key employee needs access during the emergency operations period, employee’s Vice President’s prior approval is required.
Residential students living on campus are authorized to access their residence. Many of these residential students also require meal-time access to the dining twice daily for Lunch and dinner, which are currently scheduled between 12:00 pm-1:00 pm and 5:00 pm-6:00 pm. The North Upper Egtvedt Lobby Entrance will be opened by Campus Safety personnel during meal-times to funnel dining traffic in order to keep public facing entrances secure. Social distancing (6 feet) will be monitored by food service personnel, in accordance with “Stay Home, Save Lives.” order.
The Library main and west entrance will remain open during business hours (M-F, 9:00 am-5:00 pm). Social distancing (6 feet) will be monitored by library personnel, in accordance with “Stay Home, Save Lives.” order.
Key employees that have A.F. Gray access will need to enter through the North door using their ID Card. The main entrance will remain locked due to security enhancement. Social distancing (6 feet) will be strictly maintained by all employees present in the building, in accordance with “Stay Home, Save Lives.” orders. Employees should use telephone or virtual meetings from private offices when possible.
Office of Student Affairs
The entrance to Lower Smith D-wing will be limited to ID card access only for use by key employees and residents.
Dorms and apartment access will remain as normal or until further notice.
Students may use labs only with a professor. Social distancing (6 feet) will be strictly monitored by NSH faulty and the Nursing faculty, in accordance with “Stay Home, Save Lives.” orders.
All other buildings will remain closed until further notice.
